WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Parliament’s defence committees on Friday extended their condolences to the family of a South African soldier shot and killed in Sudan’s Darfur region.

The defence ministry said in a statement on Friday that SA National Defence Force Corporal Benjamin Titus, 34, was killed on duty around 6pm on Wednesday.

He was based at 10 SA Infantry Battalion in Mafikeng and was deployed to Sudan as a member of the UN/African Union mission in Darfur.

In another statement, the committees said that while Titus’s loss was mourned, “we give thanks for the deceased’s selfless service to our country and peace building on our continent”.

“At the same time, we remember all fellow soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for a cause much greater than themselves.”

Despite the inevitable dangers faced, South Africa’s soldiers continued to volunteer and answer the call of duty wherever they were needed.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the loved ones of the deceased.”

The committees also welcomed the board of enquiry convened by the defence department to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, the department said the shooting took place at a water point about 3km from the Kutum base in Sudan.

Titus was shot and killed and another male soldier was shot and wounded after two unknown men approached the unit.

Titus died on the scene and the other soldier was taken to the United Nations hospital at Al Fasher in a serious but stable condition. – Sapa
