The case against four men who allegedly blew up an ATM in Modimolle was postponed to November 14 by the Modimolle magistrate’s court on Friday, Limpopo police said.
The four were arrested in April after they allegedly blew up an ATM in Phagameng.
They were facing charges of contravening the explosives act, attempted murder, theft of firearms, and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, said Superintendent Malesela Ledwaba.
“We went on a massive manhunt after police were involved in a shoot out with the men. During the chase the men abandoned their car and escaped on foot. Inside the car we found an amount of money and explosives,” said Ledwaba.
Three men were arrested in the area on the following day and the fourth was arrested days later in Soshanguve.
The men, aged between 26 and 32, are in police custody. – Sapa
