There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

Bishop Lavis police are investigating whether seven weapons – including shotguns and several rounds of ammunition – confiscated by police could be linked to a spate of gang-related shootings in the area in recent months.

The weapons were recovered during the past three weeks with the help of tip-offs from the community and are believed to have been used, or would have been used, by gangs embroiled in turf wars.

Bishop Lavis police spokesperson Sergeant November Filander said the weapons were found in Bonteheuwel, Bishop Lavis and Netreg.

The cache included four 9mm pistols, two shotguns and a 7.65mm pistol, four 9mm magazines, 55 9mm rounds, six shotgun rounds, one 7.65mm magazine and two 7.65mm rounds.

One of the shotguns and its accompanying ammunition were found abandoned in Netreg, said Filander.

Although he could not confirm how many shooting incidents were reported in the area over the past month, CPF spokesperson Lenny Mart said the shootings had increased.

“There have been more shootings but the situation is under control. We believe most of the shootings are gang-related and gangs are fighting over territory and resources.”

In the latest shooting in the area, a man was shot outside a shebeen in Lenton Road, Bishop Lavis at the weekend after a row with another man.

Sources said the dead man had reportedly bumped into the suspected murderer on Saturday night and, despite an apology, the second man later returned to the shebeen and allegedly shot him.

A suspect was arrested in Manenberg and charged with murder as well as the illegal possession of a firearm, said Filander. Late in September three Bonteheuwel men were killed in what are believed to be gang-related incidents.

The Cape Argus earlier reported that gangs were amassing weapons and recruiting members in the run-up to the festive season when people were expected to have more money to buy drugs.

Mart said the Bishop Lavis CPF was satisfied with service delivery from the local police station and emphasised that “things are under control”.
