I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

[I disagree with the DA that the ANC’s policy on Zimbabwe is a failure. Quite the contrary, its a tremendous success. The ANC has managed to protect Robert Mugabe from the world for 4 years – which is what it set out to do from the beginning.
It is the DA’s understanding of the ANC that is a gross failure. It is the DA’s failure to recognise that the ANC is an evil Marxist regine hell-bent on keeping a fellow Marxist Dictator in power – that is the failure. The DA should wake up to the realities of life. Jan]
Cape Town – The government’s Zimbabwe policy had failed completely, and it also had failed to protect its citizens’ property rights abroad, the Democratic Alliance said on Wednesday.
This was perfectly illustrated by Thursday’s scheduled appearance of a South African citizen in a Zimbabwean court, said DA foreign affairs spokesperson Douglas Gibson.
Free State farmer Crawford von Abo would be making his ninth appearance on charges of trespassing on one of his own properties.
Gibson said the government’s derogation of duty was made even worse when it was considered that Von Abo, unlike many others, chose not only to maintain, but also increase his investments in Zimbabwe after independence.
This was done as a show of commitment to building a democratic Zimbabwe. His considerable agricultural interests had employed more than 1 000 Zimbabweans, who now had lost their jobs.
‘A distinct lack of empathy’
Foreign Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma had stated in parliament as far back as 2002 that “the South African government would continue to ensure the safety and security of all it is citizens as well as South African-owned companies operating in foreign countries”, Gibson said.
“Mr Von Abo is yet to see any such assistance. In fact, the only correspondence he has received from Pretoria displayed a distinct lack of empathy.
“The failure of the South African government to protect South African interests in Zimbabwe is made even more significant considering that Anglo-American’s Hippo Valley Estate could also face seizure in the near future,” he said.
The government had admitted its self-imposed June 30 deadline for a resolution of the conflict in Zimbabwe would not be met.
The policy of “quiet diplomacy” had failed. The government had also failed to protect the interests of its own citizens who operated outside South Africa’s borders, said Gibson.
