I had a chuckle this evening when I watched TV news. ZANU(PF) beat the MDC opposition in Zimbabwe in a recent by-election. It has been a shocker for the MDC. The MDC are so naive. This is why I am not a liberal – because Liberalism cannot and will not work in Africa the current way it is now.
The DA will learn their lesson in South Africa. In Zimbabwe the MDC will learn the same bitter lesson.
My logic is simple: You can’t take part in a democratic process where the ruling part uses all means of intimidation, lying and cheating to get an edge.
Even the SABC said the MDC is stunned by their recent failure. But the MDC still believes as hardship gets worse the populace will rally to them.
Well… we’ll see… I still say Mugabe is cleverer than all the MDC put together, and he’ll whip them soundly because he has a whole armoury of tricks and severe arm-twisting at their disposal. Mugabe is regaining his strength and is reasserting himself as the King of Zimbabwe.
I hate the bastard, but he’s actually a damned cunning old dog and I admire his will-power and deceit. He will smash the foolish, cowardly MDC into tiny little pieces. They had their day. They were too cowardly to seize the moment when they had it in June 2003. Now they will pay the price for their cowardice. Mugabe will obliterate them.
