So there we were on the gun lobby, reading yet again yesterday of a possible involvement by our glorious protectors in yet another very ‘dodgy looking’ robbery, (OK I confess, we do actually trawl for this stuff, LOL!);
Robber shot dead in Pretoria – Sapa Published: Jun 21, 2008 S/Times.
A suspected robber was shot dead in a house in the Wierdabrug area, Centurion, Pretoria police said today. Spokeswoman Captain Agnes Huma said an unknown number of men broke into a house in the early hours of this morning.
“The robbers thought there was no one in the house. But they were disturbed by the people inside before they could steal anything. One robber was shot dead. Details of the incident are still sketchy,” said Huma.
She said the suspected robber wore a bulletproof vest and a (note this closely) _POLICE_ reflector belt. No arrests had been made as yet, she said. (Like anyone’s the slightest bit surprised with that little SNAFU. [Martin_tu].
But then the rest of the details of the incident can be found in another article this morning (which I’ve unfortunately not yet got the details for). Apparently an R4, (this is an Army or Police-issue full-auto machine-gun), a shotgun, an unspecified 9mm and .22 cartridges plus a State issue Z88 handgun are found on the scene.
“Guy with six-shooter drives off 9 effheads armed with -probably state- automatic rifles and pistols plus while wearing bullet proofs”. Illlustrating once again the value of fighting toth and nail to keep our self-defence firearms.
We were however wondering what the one twit was doing taking a .22 to a gun fight but it was submitted by a member that it was probably to quietly snuff the victims after the robbery. We’ve therefore absolutely no doubt whatsoever that there’s undoubtedly much more to this than meets the eye. (Did somebody say ‘State thugs’?)
