Zimbabwe arms ship arrives in Luanda

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

A Chinese ship carrying 77 tons of weapons and ammunition destined for Zimbabwe has refuelled and taken on food in the Angolan port capital of Luanda – but crew members made “no attempt” to offload arms, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) reported on Tuesday.

Late last month, SA trade unions called on their counterparts on the continent not to allow the An Yue Jiang to dock at any African port.

This, after the ship fled Durban’s harbour on April 18 before it could be served with a High Court order preventing its cargo from being transported through South Africa to landlocked Zimbabwe.

The ITUC and International Trade Federation (ITF) said trade unionists in Angola had told the organisations the An Yue Jiang had left Luanda “after unloading a cargo of cement and construction material only”.

“No attempt was made to offload any armaments, and the ship sailed after taking on fuel and food. Trade unionists, including from the port workers’ union, maintained a watch on the ship and what came off and went on it throughout its stay in port. Police were also present,” they said.

Cosatu’s provincial secretary, Tony Ehrenreich, said on Tuesday night the news was “a great victory for working people and for workers acting in defence of workers and the working class in Zimbabwe”.
