A search is on for two men who have been robbing people crossing open veld to get to and from work in Kempton Park, Gauteng police said on Friday.
Police spokesperson Constable Zenzile Morudi said four armed robberies had taken place in the veld in Girafe Street this month alone.
The robberies were always carried out by two men and one was always armed, he said.
The most recent incident took place on Thursday at 8.15pm when a man was robbed on his return from work.
One of the robbers approached him with a firearm.
His cellphone was taken and he was tied up.
The robbers then undressed him, taking his clothes and some cash.
A case of armed robbery has been opened.
