Today while driving, I saw a banner headline from the Daily Mail & Guardian which gave me a really good chuckle.
You’ve heard the term: “Poised/Balanced on a Knife edge…” … to describe a tense situation.
Well, a Panga is the African name for a Machete.
The Daily Mail & Guardian had this headline today: “Zimbabwe poised on a Panga’s edge…”
Now that is an apt description if there ever was… because… Zimbabwe could blow. However, let it be said, it will be good if Mugabe strikes the first blow (again, for the umpteenth time…). Let him be the aggressor.
So the unfortunate reality is… that joke can translate into a horrid, horrific reality… and I wonder if Mugabe won’t turn even more on those he regarded as friends, who betrayed him.
The sad fact is… perhaps many alive now, will be dying most horrible deaths in the coming weeks and months.
It only serves to make me ANGRIER to think about it… and to think that in the end, Mugabe and his henchmen and assorted scum, must themselves be put to death in the end.
