Now this makes me quite mad that someone like Norman Finkelstein who is exactly like Noam Chomsky in every manner can be able to meet up with Hezbollah terrorists while he condemns Israel for trying to defend itself during the Israeli-Lebanon War. Where’s Finkelstein’s condemnation of rockets being fired from Lebanon into Israeli cities?
Jewish-American academic meets senior Hezbollah leader
Norman Finkelstein in one-week visit to Lebanon, scheduled to hold lectures regarding Israeli policies.
BEIRUT – Jewish-American author and former DePaul University political science professor Norman Finkelstein was in Lebanon on Monday where he met with a senior official from the Hezbollah group.
Finkelstein is known as a vocal American critic of Israeli policies in the region. He met with a Hezbollah commander in south Lebanon.
Finkelstein also visited villages in southern Lebanon that witnessed the effect of Israel's 2006 heavy bombings against the Arab country. He told reporters that he thinks Hezbollah represents hope because “they are fighting to defend their homeland, they are fighting to defend the independence of their country, they are defending themselves against foreign …murderers.”
Finkelstein is on a one-week visit to Lebanon where he is scheduled to hold lectures and visit Palestinian refugee camps.
