WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

[No God! No! Anyone but her!? But then again… on SECOND THOUGHTS… Yes, yes… let’s put ultra-dummy, super-moron Mrs Zuma in charge! Jan]

The African National Conference Women’s League (ANCWL) has finally bitten the bullet and come up with its own women dominated list of preferred candidates for the top six leadership positions, which favours President Thabo Mbeki.

The women’s league, which previously took a “principled” position not to pronounce on the names, wants Foreign Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma in the ANC presidency either as a president or a deputy president.

This position was informed by divisions in the league over whether Mbeki should continue to serve or whether Dlamini-Zuma should take over from him.

With a strong view coming across from various provinces including KwaZulu-Natal that Mbeki was still a “capable leader”, the women finally agreed on “having a woman in the Presidency”.

This leaves a window open for the league to back Mbeki for the top job come the December national conference.

The Cape Argus has learnt that National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete is the ANCWL’s candidate for national chairperson and Public Works Minister Thoko Didiza as the treasurer.

ANCWL members Jesse Duarte, Thenjiwe Mtintso and Phoebe Potgieter were proposed for the secretariat.

The ANCWL will issue a press statement today (on Monday) about the weekend meeting.

Spokesperson Charlotte Lobe refused to discuss the ANCWL NEC meeting, saying all would be revealed in the statement.

However, an NEC member said the league was divided on whether Dlamini-Zuma should be nominated for the president or as a deputy president.

“There is a cloud of women who want Mbeki to continue as the president while others wanted Dlamini-Zuma as the president,” she said.

Meanwhile, succession issues also dominated ANC provincial meetings over the weekend.

An Eastern Cape Provincial General Council (PGC) on Saturday turned into chaos when a group of ANC “branch members”, from various regions across the province, who were excluded, demanded access to participate.

The grouping refused an offer by provincial leader Stone Sizani to grant them “observer” status.

This forced the provincial leadership to change the status of the gathering into a “preparatory meeting”, after the branches raised the argument that in a PGC, all branches should be represented.

Earlier the provincial leadership had warned the 240 delegates that the gathering was not about the “leadership” battle but about ANC policies and discussions on the resolutions of the recent national policy conference.

The Eastern Cape will now hold a PGC on November 25 where its branches will finalise the province’s list for the leadership. Mbeki is the provincial leadership’s preferred candidate, although several regions do not support this.

Provincial ANC secretaries and chairpersons will meet, on Wednesday and Thursday, in Durban to begin the “horse-trading” and try to influence each other on the suggested lists ahead of the national conference.

Meanwhile, a Gauteng provincial executive committee meeting over the weekend failed to agree on any of the six names suggested for the president’s position.

The six are Mbeki, ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma, businessmen Tokyo Sexwale and Cyril Ramaphosa, Dlamini-Zuma and the government’s policy head Joel Netshitenzhe.
