WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

The cash-strapped Zimbabwean government has announced it is doubling the size of the police force to contain expected violence ahead of general elections next year.

The announcement was made as police swooped on the head office of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) in Harare at the weekend and arrested more than 200 party activists on allegations of involvement in petrol bombing of police stations.

Most have now been released without charge, a development that has infuriated the MDC which accuses the police of bias against any perceived opponents of the Robert Mugabe government.

Senior Assistant Commissioner Faustino Mazango, chairman of a Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) committee, established to oversee the general elections next year, announced in the state-controlled Herald newspaper that recruitment had already started in order to beef up Zimbabwe’s 29 000 strong police force.

“We have started a massive re-cruitment exercise so that we have a minimum of 50 000 police officers by the time we have elections,” said Mazango.

“If we fail to get those numbers, we will use members of the police constabulary because right now we have about 29 000 police officers, which falls short of our requirements.”

Mazango said the ZRP had also asked the government to help obtain vehicles to deploy officers during the elections.

The ZRP accuses the MDC of petrol-bombing police stations in retaliation but the opposition party has vehemently denied the allegations.

They say the police are staging the petrol bombings themselves as a pretext for “its siege of terror on the opposition”.

MDC spokesman Nelson Cha-misa said the real reason for more police recruitment was to improve the ZRP’s capacity in emasculating the opposition.

What was needed was not an increase in police officers but an environment conducive to free and fair elections negotiated and agreed by all contesting parties.
