SA: SAD: Man dies while fleeing smash-and-grab gang

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

[Sad! I can know the feeling. I’ve been attacked like that in the past myself. Now an innocent dies trying to save himself from the scum of this country. Jan]

A young Durban man died on Wednesday as he tried to avoid becoming a smash-and-grab victim.

The man, who was in his 20s, drove through a red robot at the intersection of Smith and Brook streets in Durban to escape his attackers and collided with another vehicle.

Transport, Community Safety and Liaison spokesperson Nonkululeko Mbatha said the man was killed instantly when his Toyota Corolla collided with a BMW.

Criminals seized the opportunity to loot the car while the body was still in the vehicle, Mbatha said.

ER24 spokesperson Neil Noble said that the man was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

The driver of the BMW, who is also in his 20s, suffered a cut on his head and may have also sustained neck and lower back injuries. He was taken to St Augustine’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Police were alerted to the incident and a man was later arrested, but it was unclear on Wednesday night if he had been charged.

In another incident at the same intersection a few hours later, two fully-laden taxis collided, leaving 14 passengers injured.

One of the taxis overturned, and passengers from both vehicles were flung into the road. Netcare911 and ER24 paramedics took the patients to Addington Hospital.

Netcare911 spokesperson Chris Botha said that it was a miracle that no one had lost their life.

Traffic was backed up along the Durban-bound carriageway of the M4 freeway and along Smith Street while paramedics treated patients and officials cleared the scene.
