A Bloemfontein couple was found dead in their house in Langenhoven Park on Tuesday, police said.
Captain Magda Muller said the couple’s domestic worker could not get access to the house when she arrived for work on Tuesday morning.
She went to a neighbour, who tried to phone the couple on their cell phone, but had no reply.
“She (the neighbour) climbed over the fence of their house and looked through the window of their bedroom and saw both of them lying on the double bed,” said Muller.
The neighbour contacted the police who had to break a window to get into the house.
Muller said they found the man, 62, and his wife, 59, both with bullet wounds to their heads.
Police found a revolver on the scene and are investigating a suicide and a murder case. – Sapa
