A gang of three armed men attacked Coin security guards outside a First National Bank and took an undisclosed amount of money in Pretoria on Friday afternoon, police said.
Several shots were fired between the guards and the cash-in-transit gang but none of the guards was injured, said Captain Julia Claassen.
“The men then took the cash and fled in a black Audi A4 towards Church Street in the direction of Atteridgeville.”
The guards had apparently just collected money at the bank.
