A helicopter pilot from a Port Alfred-based flying school has been found dead following a helicopter crash at Winterstrand, near East London, SABC radio news reported on Sunday. The state broadcaster added that a learner-pilot, from Nigeria, had also been a passenger on the aircraft. Eastern Cape police spokesperson Superintendent Mtati Tana confirmed to reporters that the helicopter crashed on a farm at about 1pm. It was not known what had caused the crash. – Sapa |
