SA: Traffic chaos as cops protest

Submitted by Carla: Johannesburg – Members of Cape Town’s metro police on Wednesday blockaded the N2 highway near Mowbray, causing chaos to rush-hour traffic, the SABC reported. About 50 police cars, travelling in convoy towards town, were used to slow traffic to a crawl. Members of the SAPS tried to stop metro police from entering town. Metro police members said they were protesting over what they called the downgrading of their posts when the department was restructured.
