A fight on a school bus has left a 14-year-old boy dead and another facing murder charges. Samuel Mars, who lived with friends on a farm near Paarl, was stabbed to death in front of horrified high school and primary school children on Monday afternoon, while he and two friends were travelling home on the bus. A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and appeared in the Paarl magistrate’s court on Tuesday on a murder charge relating to Samuel’s death. The boy cannot be named as he is a minor. A group of children witnessed the stabbing in the bus, which had just departed from a primary school after picking up more passengers. Police spokesperson Superintendent Billy Jones said that Samuel had allegedly been involved in an argument with another 14-year-old boy at about 2.10pm.
