Readers, I will tell you a story about a letter that was written for me by Pierre van der Walt,a few years back.The letter is still up on the GOA site and others as well. It was an open letter to the American Hunter and was posted on the GOA site, KABA, and several other pro firearm groups plus a lot of smaller club news letters and web sites. During that time I spoke with LaPierre at a Safari Club Convention and told him I could not make contact with him regarding this letter which I had hoped to see circulated far and wide. It was written to coincide with the UN small arms meeting in New York. I asked him why a certain man who was a well known tax and spend liberal in my own state, and who was also in trouble re: a sexual harassment suit, was the only one to respond to me? He pulled out a personal business card and put some names on the back. These people know where I am. End of that little story, ALMOST! Doubts I had entertained about the NRA whom I had supported since a very young girl, started to solidify. WHAT IN THE WORLD was a tax and spend liberal with his background doing writing NRA policy with the UN, a communist inspired organization who has none of our best interests at heart. Each is entitled to their own opinion, but for me, I stick with GOA who takes a hard line stand and compromise is not in their dictionary.
