Website for S.Africans moving to Canada & The Voetsekkers

This website seems amazingly good. It has almost 3,000 registered users. It is for S.Africans who are moving to Canada. I’m quite amazed that I’ve not come across this website before. South Africans Coming to Canada It reminds me of the Voetsekkers – a South African website that has existed for a long time. They used to have a very busy forum. A few visitors from them supported AfricanCrisis but most were too liberal. Foreigners will not know that “Voetsek” is Afrikaans meaning “bugger off”! So the website’s name is somewhat humorous! Voetsek – South Africans offshore On the lighter side they had this link – an Americanised South African. “Jou Moer” is also Afrikaans – difficult to translate but its cheeky – sort of like: “Your ass!” Funny Afrikaans Number plate in California /afrikaans/ |
