[Here is a music video about the De La Rey song. Its pretty powerful stuff showing the Boers fighting the British.

In the music video it mentions that the Boers were up against 340,000 British and empire troops. This brings to mind Government by Deception’s chapter, “The White’s Last Stand”. If the Boers of 100 years ago fought against over 250,000 white troops from the British Empire, then I’m sure that my estimate of today’s whites being able to fight off an army of 1 million blacks won’t be far off. We whites must not underestimate what we are capable of when we’re motivated and keen.

I’m glad people like the De La Rey song. But don’t forget General De Wet either. He was pretty amazing too. I like both of them, but they were different characters. De Wet was more intellectual, and he hated the way the British looked down on the Afrikaners and he made a point of socking it to the British to show them that the Afrikaners can match them man for man.

De La Rey was an untutored farmer with that rare logical genius which makes for a great General. Few men – in any generation – in any country are gifted like that. You can’t fake it either. That’s the cool thing about Generalship – its the one occupation where there is no BS. Either you can or your can’t… because if you try to fake it, you’ll be dead and defeated on short order! There’s no place for Affirmative Action when it comes to Generalship!

As PW Botha remarked to me, during my visit to him, the Anglo-Boer war started badly because the old generals were used to fighting the Blacks, and guys like De La Rey and De Wet were nobodies who rose because they were effective at fighting the British. So the lesson one can draw from this for us in our current situation is that there are different tactics and strategies needed for dealing with the ANC on the one hand and the Liberal British and Americans who back them. When facing different enemies, one needs to have different tactics and strategies.

Since the Western world backs the ANC, we should, at this stage of our lives have to consider the Western world as our enemies. They’ve done nothing to prove to us that they are indeed our friends. We want them to be our friends, but in truth, *THEY* have chosen to side with our enemies and therefore they too are our enemies (at a Governmental level that is – though many individual Americans do understand and support us).

The chorus of the song in Afrikaans goes: “De La Rey, De La Rey will you come and lead the Boers…” Very cool. The Afrikaners are waiting for their hero. Its almost like that sci fi concept: “If you build it… they will come”. I’d say, “If you believe it, and wait for it… he may yet arrive.” Jan]
