Your website is a breath of fresh air! Finally, some truth about Africa in general and in Particuliar Rhodesia and South Africa. I refuse to call Rhodesia by that deplorable name beginning with the letter Z!

I was furious with then president Jimmy Carter for not supporting the election of bishop Abel Muzaraya (not sure of the spelling as it has been a while.) I also was outraged when the USA did not support SA’s strike into Angola to defeat the MLPA. I have been seaching for materials detailing the military conflict in Angola from a SA perspective.

I have always been a hard-core anti-communist who supported Rhodesia as much as possible and South Africa before it was sold out to the ANC.

I found your web-page while I was looking for articles by AL Venter.

What volunteer opportunities do you have for someone with just a wee bit of spare time, but a great deal of devotion?

Thank you so much for your post. I am sending it on to Jan Lamprecht who is wagon master here. Jan is working hard on making changes to the African Crisis site and as things move forward, there will be a need for a number of volunteers. We are working right now on a better sysytem for handling the e-mail which has surged of late. NEWS will be the focus and Jan has promised a WONDERFUL new search engine so that the old one can be put to rest.
If you don’t hear from Jan, know that he is snowed under. He does have a demanding regular job and other obligations. Some have no clue how much work this man does in a day and nigh. You can stay in touch with me and I will keep you advised. I have worked with Jan since the spring of 2000. I live in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks for your comments. If you will go to the Forum/Contact us page you’ll see details about tasks for volunteers.

I’m busy with the new website – so I’m somewhat disorganised with the volunteers at the moment. But volunteers can put their names down for various tasks.

We really need people the most to help edit, reply and deal with incoming mails and news. That is very important, and currently we’re taking some strain on that side. Once the new site is up I want to look at a complete revamp of the way the whole volunteer thing works. There is tons to do.

I also want to get people involved in collating information, books and special material about Africa. There is plenty of work to do in collating information and building up a massive archive and spreading the word.
