[Hi M, You are right that Mandela was not number one. You could be right that he did not make the top 10. What I do recall is that some Right Wingers were SMS’ing Eugene Terblanche’s name a lot and he came out quite shockingly high on the list! And you’re right, other Afrikaners did well on the list. I do not know who won. I don’t think it was Hendrik Verwoed. I honestly can’t remember. Maybe some of our readers have better info. But yes, they expected the ANC scumbags to dominate and they DID NOT… many previous Afrikaners did much better… and yes, I also heard that on the basis of the results that the whole campaign was quietly canned! I love it! Jan] Do you recall a couple of years ago, Dennis Bekett and that Nolene woman were advertising an exciting new event to vote for the top 100 South Africans who made a difference to the country. People were to send in their submissions and the list would be distributed around SA. Suddenly nobody heard anything more after this, and recently I heard someone tell me that Mandela was numero uno on the list. Well friends I can tell you that that was… bullmanure. The reason that the Top SA list was quietly not displayed, is because Mandela did not even make the top 10 and those in the top 5 were not exactly favorable in black eyes. Ladies and Gentlemen, you will not believe who was number one… Hendrick Verwoed, that’s right one of the most hated whites in SA and the top 10 were littered with other infamous whites. So my question is, was this true, does anyone have this on good authority? |
