I last posted your comments about that TB that can’t be cured. Any news on how that’s spreading?

I apologise for not making my own comments clearer about AIDS hitting BLACK PROFESSIONALS rather than WHITE PROFESSIONALS. I tend to think of AIDS really as a “Blacks Only” disease, and maybe I should be clearer on that. So thanks for the correction.

You think AIDS is that high hey? Isn’t it just the portion of the population you’re seeing though? Do you know of any interesting studies?

What are your thoughts on AIDS from Zimbabweans and other foreigners coming into this country? Jan]

I was out of the country for 5 months. I last wrote to you about the AIDS question in New SA. I read your article this morning about the rise in HIV (43)+ among professionals. I do agree, but remember there are WHITE professionals and Black professionals. A person reading the piece could come to the conclusion that white professionals are involved as much as black professionals. This is totally erroneous. Remember those people giving out AIDS stats are all PC individuals and under ANC influence. I would rather believe Mugabe, stating that he did not touch a white farm, than a South African statistician. Of course there will be a white professional here and there with AIDS, but the incidence will be the same as in European countries. Inside the black elite with all their money AIDS is rife and totally out of control. To state figures of 25% – 30% for blacks are ludicrous. Realistic percentages would be 60% or more. As I stated before: How can these statisticians calculate what is going on in the vast jungles of squatter camps? And a president and a minister of health that refute the existence of HIV? The New South Africa is a zoo.
