S.Africa: Elderly couple attacked on farm
Addo – An elderly couple has had a lucky escape after they were attacked on their farm, Bochkraal. According to police, Freek du Preez and his wife were attacked while taking an afternoon nap. His wife woke up at 15:00 when she heard someone in the room. An unknown man tried to attack her with an axe but he missed and she was fortunately only slightly injured. Her husband woke up and the attacker threw the axe at him, running away. Du Preez suffered light injuries. A police spokesperson said there had been two attackers, but only one man was in the house. Their shoes and caps were found outside the house. The couple was taken to hospital. http://www.news24.com/News24/South_Africa/News/0,9294,2-7-1442_2040817,00.html Replied: |
