It is rather coincidental that within a few weeks of you writing about the use of poisons as an assassination tool that this scenario actually occurred.

Our equivalent of DSTV is featuring an hour long documentary this month entitled “poisoned” dealing with the very subject of political assassination, which I have yet to view, as documentaries only appeal to the minority of our family which unfortunately happens to be me.

Thank you for your comments. It is indeed a very interesting coincidence. I will pass this message on to Jan. You may have read, he has been ill with a sore throat and sheer exhaustion, I would imagine. Many demands on his time and too little rest will take a toll sooner or later. Thank you again Fred. Yes, poisoning may be something people don’t think of often but its very real. And sometimes one may only hear of the BOTCHED incidents. Others may die quite “naturally” without much suspicion.

You will see I even threw out the bizarre thought of whether PW Botha’s final death was natural.

I remain suspicious. It could be that all sides engage in a bit of poisoning these days. Assassination is an old game.

If it is ever possible, I would have appreciated it if you or someone could tape the documentary. I’d love to see it. It sounds like my kinda stuff. I’d help cover costs.

But if not… no big deal.

Yeah, sometimes the things I write about might seem a bit far fetched but the real world is a lot more devious than the Mass Media and our leaders like us to know.

I like history, and I’m telling you… the world is quite a devious place. These things should not surprise us.
