I practice regularly with my firearms, as well as every member of my family. I taught them all to use every firearm I own, handguns, rifles and shotguns. All of my firearms are in perfect working order, they are checked, for function and reliability and cleaned on a regular basis. I change my carry ammunition on a regular basis, then testing the new batch to make sure it functions correctly. I leave NOTHING to chance. If by some chance I or my family do kill an intruder, I wont call the police, the body will be left somewhere or dumped in the sea. If by some chance I am arrested and charged with murder, at least I and my family are alive to argue the case in a court of law, instead of being another in the long line of unsolved statistics. I and my family have always regarded ourselves to be a law abiding people, however, quite frankly we are all sick to the back teeth with the protection criminals are given, while the victims are criminalised. The anc and the cops have got no hope in hell to leave my family and I defenceless, IF my firearms are confiscated under the new firearms act, I WILL get hands on unlicenced firearms.
