[My boss happened to mention to me, that at my work, at a recent management break-away, that my superiors and others discussed me. And they all agreed that I’m a bulldog.

It boiled down to the fact that they see me as someone who grabs hold of a task and an issue, and does not let go! (Which really means I’m more a BULL TERRIER – with lock-jaw – I just grab on… and hang on).

But they used the term Bulldog… maybe because I look like a bulldog and am as ugly as a bulldog too… 🙂

There is definitely a consensus among everyone… that I’m quite a nasty creature… that fights on… A co-worker of mine (not one who was at the break-away)… said that he would rather stay on the better side of me!

At a meeting earlier this week, with my boss going on leave, it was said I would take over his tasks… and the dozen people at that meeting then started making jibes saying that NOW THERE WILL BE TROUBLE… because “Jan will not take kak (nonsense) and will sort people out!” So they were having some fun, mocking me a bit… I just smiled and behaved myself!!

I have quite a nasty reputation hey?

But, I went to Churchill High School, in Rhodesia, and our School mascot was a BULLDOG. So I’m just keeping up the old school tradition… of being a Churchillian Bulldog…

And… it makes me smile!! Jan]
