Iraq: Al Qaeda #2 Captured – so what?

[I see in a news report they made much of the fact that the #2 guy in Al Qaeda was captured in Iraq. At best… it might slow things down for a few months, but I find it hard to believe that it “deals a massive blow” to the enemy. Remember when the US Govt captured Saddam Hussein and they predicted it was a major blow… and yet, the terrorists carried on merrily without hardly missing a beat? I don’t think the capture of #2 means much. I’m sure that Al Qaeda has plenty waiting in line to move up the ranks. So what if he ratted on some of the organisational structure. They’ll rebuild it. It might take a few months… but they’re far from beaten. Those car bombs are still exploding like crazy all over Baghdad which to me still shows how little control the USA actually has in that Third World rat hole!! I still say, the wars are not being won… they are slowly, inch by inch, being lost. There’s still too much pussy-footing around with these terrorists. The real killing has not started yet. But we’re getting there… its coming! The chaos is coming. I like it! Jan] |
