[I had a good laugh at a news headline in THE STAR newspaper today. It was about the 2010 world cup soccer which is due to be held in S.Africa.

President Mbeki said, in effect, “bring it on”… Then he said in a speech that there are people whose full time job it is to run this country down! No doubt a clear reference to people like me… who dare to tell it like it is – daily!

(I would not be surprised if Mbeki gets to read some of my comments and remarks in some of his intelligence briefings… “That racist Jan Lamprecht says whites should go to war… he wants to partition Zimbabwe for the Matabeles and the Whites!… He’s busy redrawing the maps and promising autonomy to the Zulus and the Matabele … what is he smoking? …” – We must TAKE HIM DOWN… ARROGANT WHITE BASTARD!! … We’ll get you Jan Lamprecht… you rotten SCUM!

But hey… listen, if it wasn’t for me, then our intelligence community would be DOING NOTHING ALL DAY LONG! So at least I’m giving them a bit of practise… at least they’re doing a little bit of work for those enormous underserving salaries they get!)

Ahem… anyway, Mr Mbeki says that people like me will all be proven wrong in 2010! Yep, I’m gonna be eating my words because he is sooooo gonna shine!

I love Mbeki’s bold talk. But as I have said many times, the dear President, whom we love so much, produces more hot air than you will get in a hot air balloon race! Mr Mbeki was talking so loudly and boldly 10 years ago about this incredible AFRICAN RENAISSANCE… he said it in speech after speech… they wrote books about it… held expensive conferences about it. They invited business leaders… they talked BIG TALK… and so how is Africa doing 10 years later? MUCH WORSE THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Have you seen Africa rising out of the ashes of Post-Colonialism? I haven’t. In fact, any statistic from any organisation of any value shows that Africa is getting poorer.

But… Mbeki’s memory is short… or… he is just a pathalogical liar… take your pick.

I’ve hardly said a word about 2010 myself… yet, virtually *EVERY* white person I hear talking about 2010, is overflowing with negativity about it. The Afrikaans newspaper, Rapport, reported on the problems going on with the 2010 program. Mbeki is claiming victory and yet… they’ve been dawdling around so much that they have not even BEGUN with the physical preparations.

A friend said he heard that Mbeki will have to throw many extra billions into it to make it happen… because they are already behind schedule…

When it comes to project management and doing big complex things… I have very little faith in this Govt – for the simple fact that I’ve never seen them actually *DO* anything.

Talk is cheap. Speeches are even cheaper. Have you ever heard me give a speech? Its easy… I could also promise the sun, moon and stars… yet, I’d have no way of doing it. I could shoot my mouth off if I wanted to. Its easy… any fool can talk.

There is a lot more involved in building big things than just having a *BIG MOUTH*. Mugabe has a big mouth. Have you ever seen him do anything positive? He’s killed people and destroyed much. Have you ever seen him build anything? I haven’t.

The ANC are very good at setting things on fire, killing people, breaking things and preventing things from working. I’ve seen them do that. I’ve also heard them shoot off their mouths about White Govt and what it didn’t do for the blacks. But I’ve never SEEN the ANC doing anything. In fact, every project this Govt has tackled in the last 15 years has been mired in controversy, scandal, bribery, etc.

Whether it was education or free medical care… the results were the same… things were far worse off than BEFORE the ANC started meddling with it.

In fact… if the ANC had come into power in 1994, and had DONE NOTHING… this country would today have been much better off! Yes! Absolutely! If they had left the laws and structures which were here in 1994… we would all have been much better off! In fact, they could have saved a lot of money by doing nothing except walk in once a month, to all collect their pay cheques… I’m telling you, if they had done that:-
o Crime would be lower
o Hospitals would be running better
o Children would be getting a better education with higher standards
o There would have been no controversies or scandals… no bribery…
o We would not have wasted R60 billion on the arms purchases
o Taxes would have been MUCH LOWER!
o We would have had higher agricultural production
o Our mining output would probably have been higher
o We might even have had a real BOOM!

After all their meddling, they want to pretend that we’re a First World country. We were First World… that was 20(43)+ years ago – when PW Botha was the President and Mandela was in jail.

Let me give you something to ponder. Which is worse:-
(a) ANC acts of terrorism and sabotage.
(b) ANC running the country as a legitimate Govt.

I’d say (b). I’d say the ANC was doing less damage to this country when they were planting bombs and murdering blacks and whites alike than when they are running the country. Now its like having the fox in the henhouse.

But thanks to ANC terrorism and ANC Government, we are now officially regarded by the rest of the world including the USA as THIRD WORLD!!

As people say… we don’t even have a public transport system… so how will we move 2 million additional visitors to this country in 2010?

One white ex-Zimbabwean guy guy I know just laughed. He said, the ANC will probably spend R40 billion to make R2 billion! (Probably!)

Mr Mbeki can mouth off as much as he wants about “nay sayers”. It is interesing, in this country of 45 million people there are only a handful of “public naysayers” like me… because everyone else is too scared to voice their true opinions. You can probably count the “public nay sayers” on the fingers of one hand. But when nobody is looking… and in private… I see *PLENTY* of people scoffing at and mocking this Govt. Behind closed doors, nobody really believes a word that is being uttered by our President. I think many blacks are starting to have their doubts too…

But whether you are a pathalogical liar, or just a regular fool who actually believes the ANC is capable of building anything, there is one thing for sure: You will lose credibility. Mr Mbeki, like every other black leader before him, is walking so surely down that path to the point where he will have ZERO… absolutely ZERO credibility… both in his own country and in the eyes of the world.

Mbeki walked tall. He hobnobbed with the world’s most powerful. I saw the President of FIFA saying publicly that FIFA has “faith” in South Africa. Funny, well, I wonder just how many people living IN SOUTH AFRICA have such unbridled FAITH as the top boys in FIFA! I think few… (But sssh… let’s not tell FIFA that!)

Let them have “faith”, let all these leaders make their pronouncements and let Mbeki shoot his mouth off with that big bold talk we have come to know and ignore.

So many Zimbabweans once had “faith” in the ANC’s “impeccable democratic record”… and where are all those Zimbabweans now? The ANC is a curse word for them now…

In the end… the proof lies in what they can produce. Maybe like the GauTrain, they will have to hand this over to some whites in the hope that they can still pull a rabbit out of the hat? I actually wish they would NOT. I actually wish they would put just blacks in charge. I would love that.

Mbeki promised a revival of all of Africa ten years ago… but he’s not so bold any more… let’s hope he can run a few soccer matches… but I’m curious to see if even that is out of his league!

Yeah you ANC scum… the whites made it look easier than it really was. Running a country is quite a bit more difficult than pouring petrol over somebody and setting them on fire… Let’s see if Winnie Mandela and her box of matches can build some stadiums in time for the 2010 World Cup Soccer hey? Jan]
