[I have long been fascinated by books written by intelligent people attacking Darwinism. In the 1980’s a British Science Journalist gathered together a lot of scientific data which ripped into Darwinism. It is good to see the trend continuing.

I have a very old book in my possession – it is in fact the most expensive book I ever bought. I bought it several years ago for R1,200 (and that was the cheapest copy available by far – it actually sold for 10 or 20 times that value normally). It is written by Leonard Euler, the greatest mathematician of all time. He invented MOST of the modern mathematics which is in use. Euler went blind, and still did ultra complex mathematical calculations in his head afterwards.

Euler believed in God, and read to his family from the Bible every day. Euler had furious arguments (about 220(43)+) years ago (before Darwinism was officially born), over the issue of life created by random forces. (Not many scientists back then were athiests – but a few were). Darwinism was thought of and suggested long before Darwin was born. Euler said that mathematically, the universe is far too complex for it to have been the result of RANDOM/ACCIDENTAL creation.

I firmly subscribe to that view. And as science progresses, we find that the universe and everything in it is much much more complex than people realised even in Euler’s time. The universe *CANNOT* be an accident. It is a mathematical impossibility. Jan]

Darwin’s Black Box
