This man, Michael Xulu is a minibus taxi driver. He worked for a man in Tembisa Township who owned a fleet of taxis. He told his boss that the minibus taxi had been stolen. His boss did not believe him and thought he was lying. His boss believed that he had sold the taxi! So his boss and 9 henchmen attacked Michale with sjamboks. They also forced him to drink petrol and then they set him on fire.
The Alexandra Taxi Association has suspended his owner’s taxi fleet. Michael is in Tembisa Hospital recovering from his burns.
