Afrikaner in USA comments about War on Terror

[One of the Afrikaners on my list, was commenting about the War on Terror. Like me, he feels the way the USA is going about it, is not going to work. Incidentally, I smiled at the shock Canadians experienced when some potential terrorists were caught who were planning some major terrorism in Toronto. Frankly… anyone in the Western world who thinks they will escape any of the conflicts, terrorism and hassles which lies ahead is living in a fools paradise. And I think the Western world still thinks terrorists can be played with. Later on some of you will appreciate the attitude we had to this sort of thing. I am sad to see American troops getting in trouble for “atrocities”. I think, firstly, that some of these so-called atrocities never occurred. Some of these deaths were never even caused by American troops. But even if American troops were behind it… I wouldn’t worry too much. Fighting terrorism is a dirty business. I find it amazing how easily Americans can attack their very own soldiers who are defending them. How about having a bit more FAITH in the Soldiers and Officers on the ground? I doubt they run around just killing. In fact, I am sure they show much more restraint than is necessary. Terrorists, being the scum they are, hide behind civilians and use civilians as shields. Terrorists know full well that if they are attacked that civilians may die. This is all part of the game. Terrorists not only attack foreign civilians, but they also use their own civilians as pawns. Weeding out terrorists is like weeding out a cancer. It is a very difficult, very ugly business, and the PC methods are a waste of time. Troops need to be allowed the freedom to use their initiative and agression to sort these scum out. In the long term, these Politically Correct rules of warfare will (a) Prevent Victory (b) Make the war longer and ultimately more costly in human life on BOTH SIDES. It is a simple historically provable fact that the best way to limit human suffering war is to use MASSIVE FORCE, to win quick and decisive victories.
