On the iafrica.co.za website ANC member Peter Moatshe said “share land before it’s to late”. Mbeki has already ordered that over 300 farms are to be taken if the farmers do not sell their land to the Government at THEIR prices.

Is this the begining of the end ? I was making my comments felt on a forum, and dawned on me why they all want farms, and not your average 3 bed house or that empty piece of land down the road. On a farm, which is probably worth a couple of million rand, you have expensive equipment. That alone is worth probably a few million more. Then you have various vehicles like bakkies and cars, and weapons. If you include the crops, you are talking of a sizable catch for anyone.

I still say, this is my solution. You want that land ? The farmer sells his land to the Government for %70 of it’s market value. The new farmer has 10 years to pay back the remaining %30 to the old farmer. If he doesn’t, the farm goes back to the white farmer. If the white farmer wants to still farm after all this, he should be allowed to buy and keep his new farm, no land claims will be allowed to levied on him again. This way, blacks get a farm, and it ensures they make something of it cause they have a obligation to pay something back.

Somehow I think they want all for nothing, and nothing will come of this.

Yes, the Govt works a lot like elephants mating. There’s a lot of screaming and bellowing before they do their thing… and it takes 2 years to produce results… But yes, they are making lots of noise, and that noise is about real things they want to do.

The Land issue is really nothing more than old time Communism. Communism always demonised the Land Owner. They hate the Afrikaners, especially the farmers, and its their way of getting revenge. They also do not want the food in white hands. Of course, if they take it over then there will be shortages. But remember that Lenin starved people to death.

Were it not for the WFP, millions would be dead in Zimbabwe by now. What’s to say that one day… in S.Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe they won’t want to starve US TO DEATH?? Think about it mate… think about it… and hey, if they starve a couple of million blacks along with us… no problemo for them. They’ll be cool with that.

I’m sure they have good reasons for going after the land. I think it is to control the food, and to politicise who gets the food. Step out of line and they can starve you to death.

All this is hidden for now because of the UN and WFP… but give it time. These are evil bastards. Jan]
