Take a look at the ridiculous denominations on Zimbabwe postage stamps. These are from actual letters received by friends of ours.

Take a look at this image. There are TWO $40,000 stamps on this letter. Postage of $80,000. Now to put it in perspective, when we left Zimbabwe, my parents sold our house in town for $10,000 and you could sell a 1,000 acre farm in those days for about $30,000. Now you can’t even buy a high denomination postage stamp for that kind of money! Amazing hey?
