U.S. Navy steps up activities to counter African piracy

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

U.S. Navy steps up activities to counter African piracy

ABU DHABI [MENL] — The U.S. Navy has increased patrols off the coast of Somalia in an effort to eliminate the piracy threat in the Red Sea.

Officials said U.S. Naval Forces Central Command has ordered increased patrols in the Red Sea in an effort to battle pirates or insurgents based in Somalia. They said that over the last month U.S. and allied warships have fired toward those who sought to prey on civilian vessels in the Red Sea.

On March 18, two U.S. warships fired toward suspected pirates off the coast of Somalia. Officials said the USS Cape St. George and USS Gonzalez killed one pirate and injured another five about 25 nautical miles off the central eastern coast of Somalia.

In 2005, the International Maritime Organization warned ships to stay away from the Somali coast. The IMO reported 35 piracy attacks in 2005, up from two in 2004.
