[It was a lot of hard work, but Straight Talk is up and ready to go.

Straight Talk is aimed at the people who seriously support this site and what we do. It is a way for you to contribute to what we do, while getting a little something special in return.

Straight Talk is to be sold worldwide. I have a simple system in place which will make this practical. And if you want to contribute to African Crisis and get something in return, then please support the newsletter.

My policy will be to keep the juciest items for the newsletter. I also want to ask people to spread the newsletter to their friends and family. I especially want to reach expatriates.

I am producing the newsletter in both English and Afrikaans. That increases the effort. But thanks to those who volunteered to translate, it made it a much easier job.

The News Letter was inspired by calls I got from people who had heard me on Radio Pretoria and who bought the book but who really aren’t interested in the Internet or have access to it.

Many successful websites have their own magazines. So you can regard Straight Talk as our “magazine”. But I am hoping that people will use it to spread the message to people who prefer reading a piece of paper. So please show it to people.

A problem with getting funding from the web is that people want to pay and receive something in return. So here it is – your chance to support us, but to also get something back. Your money is not just going into a vaccuum.

A lot of hard work will go into each issue of Straight Talk. Two of us worked on it, compiling it, and a couple more people helped with the translation.

I would like Straight Talk to provide the funding that I need to ultimately turn this website into a non-profit organisation which can employ people and which can do bigger things.

So what I am appealing to is loyalty and patriotism for this one.

I have been hinting at something for a long time, and I do have a special surprise for subscribers. The first few issues will have major articles dealing with the CIA’s activities in Southern Africa.

Thanks to a loyal supporter with an Intelligence background, we stumbled on an amazing set of writings which are out in the public – written by former CIA operatives about CIA operations!

None of this has EVER, to my knowledge seen the light of day in Southern Africa. No newspaper has run any of this.

I really am not going to tell you some of the tricks and opportunities I have up my sleeve – but I have some quite juicy stuff – and its provable, and its above-board. But many political parties would not like this spread around because 80% of them stand to be embarrassed by it.

So we start of the first issue of Straight Talk with a long story about: P W Botha, Jacob Zuma and the CIA. And the theme is whether the CIA was involved in deposing P W Botha, and whether the CIA and the hard core communists are currently involved in a ferocious political struggle over Jacob Zuma. The CIA may want Jacob Zuma out because he might be the “Robert Mugabe” of S.Africa.

In this issue we examine some of the basic concepts about how the CIA really operates. It is really quite different to what you might think.

In the following issues we will examine what the CIA did in S.Africa and also in Rhodesia.

As I say, the history has been written, but few knew where to look for it. And I found much of it quite eye opening. Some of it will shock you.

But it also will help to explain what the USA is doing in the Middle East right now. Like why is the USA supporting Hamas who are open terrorists whom the USA said it would never negotiate with? Well, when you understand the thinking of the CIA you will see why they do this and what their long term game is.
