WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: Grade 6 kids not making it

[Another tribute to education under the ANC. Jan]

Cape Town – The vast majority of South Africa’s Grade Six school pupils are failing to achieve the expected outcomes in natural sciences, language, and mathematics, an assessment of pupils around the country has found.

According to the education department’s Grade Six national systemic evaluation, eight out of 10 scholars were not achieving in maths, with an average score of 27%.

Six out of 10 were not achieving in the language of instruction, with an average score of 38%, and more than half were not achieving in natural sciences, with an average score of 41%.

The survey, commissioned by the department and carried out by the Human Sciences Research Council, involved 34 000 Grade Six pupils at 1 000 schools around the country, parents, teachers and departmental officials.

Briefing the media at parliament on Monday, education department director-general Duncan Hindle said the intention was to assess the health of the system against transformation goals.

The focus was on the performance of pupils in numeracy, literacy, and language and the context in which they learned.
