[I am stunned to hear there might be 250,000 ex-South Africans in Texas alone! Wow!

An ex-South African in Texas sent me these comments, which are very sound, and I think he’s definitely right as to the real reason for HCR existing.

What I do object to, though, is HCR running about claiming that life in S.Africa is great, fantastic, etc and luring people back by misrepresenting the situation here. THAT is what I object to.

People who come back, but who know the odds here, and understand the reality (both positive & negative) – that’s fine. I don’t have a problem with that. I would assume, for example, that that’s how Solidarity runs their Come Home Campaign.

Yes, it is good for us to get Whites back here to boost our numbers. No question about it. We need numbers. And I can’t see Whites who left, returning AND supporting the ANC. No ways! In the long term, they’re on our side.

Nevertheless, it could be good that HCR is bringing some people back. I’ve spoken to a number of people who left SA and came back, and even after returning, they’re not falling for the lie that crime is lower, etc. They have just as many gripes about the ANC as the rest of us.

I am fascinated by the number of ex-pats in Texas, etc. I wonder just how many Whites really left the country? I was always under the impression that it was about 1 million or more. Jan]

Although I have expressed my feelings about the Homecoming Revolution, one wonders if this is not an attempt by business and certain powers within the ANC to counter the radical left-wing and communist/ socialist cronies.

My point is that the left is pushing to rid South Africa of all intellectuals, ie. the predominant whites. It is easier to rule a bunch of sheep who can and do not want to think for themselves. Whereas with the attempt by the “Homecoming Revolution” to lure these intellectuals back and try and form some type of barrier against the radical communist/socialists. This may prevent a Totalitarian Communist State.(if it can be prevented) I think however that people like myself that have found greener pastures overseas, it is too late.

I have read your postings about the statistics of real emigrants and those who have not specified their true intent. I personally count under the latter. As I live in Central Texas I understand that there are approximately 250,000 ex South Africans living in Texas alone. Now that will make you think as most people have left for the UK, Australia and Canada. We are not even talking about the other 49 US states.
