[I am just feeling cheeky. After mentioning the S.African space program, which was reported on in the mid-late 1980’s, which was then stopped. What’s the bet, since the Whites did build nuclear weapons, that if they had wanted to, we could have built rockets too, to launch our satellites. It is no secret that we had excellent missile technology – and a number of dead Cuban pilots are testimony to that!!! What’s the bet that if Apartheid South Africa had really wanted to, we could have been launching our own satellites into space. And yet, somehow I have my doubts as to whether the ANC can build a high-speed train!! Jan] |
