What can I say? As always, it disgusts me completely to see low-life scum, running around and killing people who are far better than they ever will be. I find it completely hideous that the scum of society should be able to take the lives of people who are intelligent, caring and contributing members of society.

And even if our usless Police catch them, our even more useless courts will have them out on the streets within our own lifetimes.

Farm murders may have slowed down somewhat in recent years, but this incident shows that these things are still happening. Jan]

Just to let you all know that our favourite doctor and friend, Dr Piet Ernst, was murdered on Friday 5 August. He was about to enter his driveway on his farm at Hekpoort, near Magaliesburg, when he was attacked. He was shot and the wages he was about to pay his workers was taken, along with his cell phone. Dr Ernst was a great man and doctor and the founder of Marang House (which provides medical care and accommodation for impoverished children who are in need of kidney transplants and/or undergoing other medical treatment). The attackers have no idea as to the severity of their target. Dr Ernst is no longer around to help those children and adult patients whom he treated for no charge. He is no longer around for his loving wife and three children. He is no longer around to care for all his patients whom he treated over the years and become close friends with. It is so sad to miss him so badly. And we are all very angry that his attackers have not yet been aprehended. They are probably the same lot who have been targetting the Hekpoort area over the last couple of years, with intensity rising over the last two weeks. We have heard and seen nothing since his murder, of any progress towards finding his killers. Where can we get information as to what is being done to prevent our society from bearing witness and becoming victims to these atrocities?
