Piet Retief – A 30-year-old woman was raped while relieving herself in a veld behind a clinic in Piet Retief on Thursday, said Mpumalanga police. Captain Abie Khoabane said the woman was at the clinic to treat a stomach problem. She went outside to relieve herself around noon, but while in the veld was accosted from behind by a man, who pushed her to the ground, threatened her with a knife and raped her. Khoabane said the man was later arrested and was due to appear in Piet Retief magistrate’s court on Monday. Source: News24.Com |
