WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: Patient beats another to death with crutches despite Police

Horrified patients, nurses and police officers wrestled with a hospital patient as he beat another patient to death with a crutch at a Greytown hospital.

The victim of the attack, an elderly man, died soon after from head injuries. The assailant, 60, has been transferred to Town Hill Hospital in Pietermaritzburg for mental observation.

Initial investigations revealed that the two men had an argument and, during the altercation, one armed himself with his crutches and assaulted the other, causing severe head injuries, on Tuesday.

“The hospital security officers and nursing staff initially tried to intervene, but the patient was very aggressive so they contacted the police for assistance,” said police Superintendent Joshua Gwala.

When police arrived on the scene, the 60-year-old patient was still hitting his victim with the crutches while helpless and horrified hospital staff looked on, said Gwala.

“The police found a severely injured male patient in the ward.

“Another male patient was still in the process of assaulting the victim and the police, with the assistance of hospital security, had to use force to restrain him,” said Gwala.

The injured victim was treated by the hospital doctors, but died soon after. The identity of the victim is being withheld until his next-of-kin have been informed.

A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of his death. Police are investigating and the KwaZulu-Natal department of health has launched an internal investigation.

“The department views this incident as highly unfortunate and we send our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased,” said health department spokesperson Sibongile Zungu.

The transfer of the suspect to Town Hill coincides with the visit on Thursday morning of national Minister of Health Manto Tshabalala-Msimang, who is expected to release the findings of a commission of inquiry.

The commission was established to investigate allegations of abuse at Town Hill hospital.

The findings of the inquiry were not available at the time of going to press.

Tshabalala-Msimang is also due to hold a press conference in Durban on Monday afternoon.
