S.Africa: Man found shot dead in police car

WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: Man found shot dead in police car

[The stories get more bizarre by the day! Jan]

Rescuers called to the scene of a head-on crash between a police vehicle and a newspaper delivery bakkie were horrified to find the body of a dead man with a bullet wound in his chest in the police vehicle.

According to reports the bakkie driver, identified as Nathi Zondi, and his wife Nomambo, were slightly injured when their vehicle overturned in the collision. They were treated and discharged at Edendale Hospital.

People at the scene said the driver of the police vehicle, who was flung about 50m from his official police vehicle, appeared “very drunk”.

Police spokesperson Joshua Gwala said the dead man had not yet been identified and was lying on the front passenger seat of the police vehicle.

He said the police officer was found lying unconscious on the side of the road, with no visible injuries. He was taken to hospital by paramedics.

According to reports the 42-year-old police inspector from Mpumalanga then escaped from St Anne”s Hospital but later handed himself over at the Camperdown Police Station.

Gwala said the police officer”s service pistol was found inside the police vehicle. It will be forwarded to ballistics for testing.

He has been charged with murder and is to appear at Inchanga magistrate”s court on Tuesday.

According to sources, one expended cartridge was found lying in the bakkie next to the police officer”s gun.

The police vehicle, a Nissan X-Trail 4×4, collided with a Toyota bakkie delivering newspapers along Eddie Hagen Drive in the Inchanga area.

The bakkie overturned after its driver lost control.

Sources close to the investigation said the policeman had come on duty on Sunday afternoon and was later spotted enjoying himself at a wedding in Mpumalanga township, with the official car parked outside.

He was later seen at his home, not far from the accident scene, in the Ehlanzeni area.

It is thought that he was driving from home when the accident happened.

Gala said: “It is believed that the driver of the police vehicle did not stop immediately after the collision. However, the vehicle came to a standstill about 500m away from the scene.”
