[As often happens in this country, they try to mimic something that comes from the USA. The program “30 Seconds to fame” was a big hit here, so then they created the South African version of “30 seconds to fame”. There was a bit of talent – but these things never work as well as in the USA where you have 300 million people to draw from.

Then came Donald Trump’s THE APPRENTICE – which I was a fan of as well. And it had just finished when they announced we would have a South African version of it. I at least had some respect for what Donald Trump did with his program, and felt that they could never, ever do it justice here – so I am not even watching one minute of the South African version of the show.

To boot, they did not choose a real entrepreneur – a real self-made man. They choose one of the ANC “entrepreneurs” – you know, one of these Black Politicians who “goes into business” (let me translate: Whites give him blocks of shares otherwise the Govt’s racist laws kick in and prevent the company from getting Govt contracts!). The man they chose was Tokyo Sexwale – who had also run Gauteng (Previously known as the PWV area – which covers Johannesburg and other areas).

We do have real entrepreneurs in this country – both Black and White – self-made millionaires and multi-millionaires – but none of them were in the ANC, and most of them were White. Some names from this country were world famous in their day. Cecil John Rhodes, the Governor of the Cape and founder of what is now Zimbabwe and Zambia – was the “Bill Gates” of his day. When Rhodes was 35, he was the richest man in the world – and it was all self-made out of diamonds.

You have Mark Shuttleworth, a young white self-made billionaire in South Africa (who even paid the Russians for a trip into space in recent years). But let me not bore you with a list of achievers, both past and present from South Africa.

There are many Black self-made millionaires too – and a good number of them became that way under Apartheid! Yes, there were super-rich Blacks back then too – although history will be rewritten to pretend they did not exist. But there are parts of Soweto, which even in the days of White rule, had enormous homes belonging to stinking rich Black businessmen.

Anyhow, THE APPRENTICE with Tokyo Sexwale as our “Black Donald Trump” caught my attention. How lame I thought. The man is a socialist. He probably knows less than nothing about the free market anyway. And I thought to myself, “what is the mystery about being Black and becoming super-rich in modern South Africa?” Its really so easy. Here’s how its done:-

1. You must have a Black skin.
2. You must be politically connected to the ruling party (the ANC).
3. You use the BEE (Black empowerment) laws to go and blackmail a successful White-dominated company by saying to them: “If you don’t have a BEE partner, you can’t get Govt contracts. If you don’t have a BEE partner then the Govt’s laws will start damaging your business and you will be hobbled in 101 different ways.”
4. Then, finally, if you’ve got political connections, you can nod and wink knowingly… about all those Govt tenders you can bring in… if we slip the right people some cash… You get my drift?

The trembling Whites then give you a portion of their company for free and bingo, there you are, a self-made Black ANC-connected “entrepreneur”.
(Translation: In reality, you’re a Black Racist Socialist Thief – but hey, let’s not get technical!) No skills were needed, just that Black skin of yours, some Govt-legislated Blackmail and hey presto – you’re going places!

You see… you don’t need TALENT, or SKILLS, or KNOWLEDGE or CREATIVITY to be Black and become super-rich.

So then I figured, what’s the point of such a show in South Africa? Donald Trump’s show was about initiative, character, knowledge, leadership, etc. Heck, you don’t need that in South Africa to rise to great heights. You can be a totally talentless moron and you can rise to the top – as long as you are Black and politically connected!!

But, I snigger. All this violates biological laws – the laws of Life – the Laws of God if you will. In biology, certain animals are pack animals. The rule with pack animals is that they are controlled by a small group of “Alpha males”. The survival of the group is dependant upon the skill and strength of the dominant males. Humans are pack animals. And for any human society to truly be strong, it is imperative, that the most skilled rise to the top. The few, with knowledge and talent, will always control the many. It is also the best way to do things.

So in my view, in Africa, you don’t get that. You get people being appointed not because of what they can do, but who they know. And this is one of the main reasons why Africa is completely doomed to fail – and also why South Africa is totally doomed to failure. The more they shove talentless Blacks into high positions, due to racial quotas, the more they are undermining the very foundations of the country. As I’ve said before, these Blacks don’t realise it, but they’re digging their own graves… and one day… a nation, or nations, or race, which is stronger will conquer them. I am convinced this will happen. How long it will take remains to be seen, but I’m convinced this madness will eventually boomerang on them. Jan]
