[South Africa is following in the footsteps of Colombia. We are becoming an integral part of international drug-tracking networks. Jan] Cape Town – A hundred condoms, believed to be filled with cocaine, were found in the stomach of a Peruvian woman at Cape Town International Airport on Thursday morning. Inspector Bernadine Steyn of Western Cape police said customs officials and ports-of-entry police stopped the 23-year-old woman at 09:40 – after identifying her as a possible drugs trafficker. “She was taken to a hospital for examination and it was found that she had about 100 condoms in her stomach containing a substance, possibly cocaine,” said Steyn.
