[The renaming of Pretoria is becoming quite a fiasco. Apparently, there are some Blacks who are now saying there is no proof that a chief named Tshwane actually lived there! They say the last chief in the region was an Ndebele. Note: The Ndebele were an off-shoot of the Zulus, AND the Zulus were the ones who KILLED ALL THE BLACKS IN THE TRANSVAAL… thus preparing the way for colonisation by a mere 800 Afrikaners from the Cape! The bottom line is: Tshwane could be an “ANC-Xhosa-Politically-Correct” version of Black pseudo-history… (a sort of kick in the teeth to the Zulus!)… So they want to erect a statue of a Chief whom nobody really knows if he existed… and even less what he looked like. Viva the ANC! Listen here, I am definitely going to become an ANC supporter. I have decided that whenever I see the ANC doing something to waste money and to weaken the country, I’m going to damned well support them. So here is my first vote for the ANC! Jan] Pretoria – First it was the name change. Now the Tshwane metro council will consider erecting a statue on Strijdom Square to honour Chief Tshwane. The recommendation was made during a health and social development portfolio committee meeting. According to sources the committee recommended that the statue be made of bronze and that it be one-and-a-half times life size. Apparently, a letter on the issue has been sent to the Gauteng government, which owns the square. If approved, the statue is expected to cost in the region of R950 000, while R300 000 will be made available for the official unveiling.
