WARNING: This is Version 1 of my old archive, so Photos will NOT work and many links will NOT work. But you can find articles by searching on the Titles. There is a lot of information in this archive. Use the SEARCH BAR at the top right. Prior to December 2012; I was a pro-Christian type of Conservative. I was unaware of the mass of Jewish lies in history, especially the lies regarding WW2 and Hitler. So in here you will find pro-Jewish and pro-Israel material. I was definitely WRONG about the Boeremag and Janusz Walus. They were for real.

S.Africa: Goat rage results in 2 murders and 3 attempted murders

By: Nkosana ka Makaula and Zenzele Kuhlase

Middelburg – A man who went on a wild shooting rampage after waiting six months for his neighbours to return a goat has been jailed for 28 years.

Maini Petrus Matabane, 45, killed a man and a five-year-old child, and tried to shoot three other people in Boekhouthoek in KwaMhlanga north of Witbank on September 17 2002.

The court found Matabane’s temper reached boiling point when, after trying for more than six months to get his goat back from neighbours, he was told it had gone missing and he shouldn’t expect compensation.

When Matabane heard his sentence in the Middelburg circuit of Pretoria High Court, he complained of unfair prosecution.

Judge Thami Makhaya gave him leave to appeal against the conviction within two weeks.

Matabane had pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and three of attempted murder.

Lost his temper at last meeting

He had asked the Masaka family to look after his goat in February 2002, but it ran away.

After several attempts to negotiate a settlement, he lost his temper at the last meeting on September 17 2002 and shot Paulos Masaka four times.

Matabane shot at Masaka’s sister, Sannah Masako, but missed. Instead, the bullet hit a neighbour’s five-year-old daughter, Andile Langa, who had been visiting the Masakas with her mother. The child died on the way to hospital.

The shooting continued at the neighbouring Skhosana household where three narrowly escaped death after being shot at several times.

Matabane targeted the Skhosanas because, three days earlier, they had blocked his way to the Masaka household by holding a birthday party in the street.

When he tried to drive through the parade, partygoers pelted his car with various objects, slightly damaging it.

Sentences to run concurrently

Matabane handed himself over to police the day after the shootings.

He was sentenced to 18 years’ imprisonment for killing Paulos Masako, 15 years’ for killing the child, and five years’ for each of the attempted murders.

The sentences will run concurrently, reducing his sentence to 28 years.

Investigating officer captain Vusi Mahlangu said the victims and their families were not satisfied with the sentence as they had hoped he’d be jailed for life.
