S.Africa: Hijackers grab R70 000 cash

Bethlehem – Two men from Lesotho were robbed of R70,000 cash and their cellphones when two armed men forced their truck to stop near Clarens in the Eastern Free State, police said on Saturday. Police Constable Christopher Mokoreng said the robbers at first accused the two Lesotho citizens of reckless driving and demanded to see their passports. They then tied the victims up and abandoned them in the bush. The men managed to untie themselves and flag down a lift to Clarens to report the Friday morning incident to police. Source: News24.Com |
