[This is funny… and it makes one wonder about the many things that go on in rural South Africa which will never get into a newspaper. In this case, the black guy was “fined” but he did not pay the fine… and hence the charges laid against him. Jan] A 33-year-old Northern Province man who was allegedly caught having sex with a goat handed himself over to police on Wednesday after the owner laid a charge of bestiality against him, African Eye News Service reported. Seshego police spokesman, Inspector Malesela Ledwaba, said the man was apparently caught in a neighbour’s kraal at Newlands village near Seshego in the early hours of Friday morning. Ledwaba said the owner of the kraal was woken when his goats began making a noise. He discovered the man having sex with one of them. The families of both the man and the goat’s owner met on Saturday and the culprit agreed to pay R500 as an act of contrition. When he reneged on the agreement, the owner laid a bestiality charge against him.
